About the event

John Wort Hannam has spent two decades as one of Canada's most respected roots troubadours, spinning vivid, resilient songs from the lives and landscapes around him. T. Buckley is a songwriter in the Laurel Canyon tradition — unhurried, deeply genuine, with a voice that earns every word. His album "Frame by Frame" earned nominations at both the Canadian Folk Music Awards and the Western Canadian Music Awards.

The two started writing together during a residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in 2017 — woodshedding songs in a back room, which gave the duo its name. After a standout performance at the 2023 Canadian Folk Music Awards, they made it official.

What you'll hear is a conversation between two songwriters who know how to listen to each other — tight vocal harmonies, layered guitar work, and songs that hit harder in a room this size.
